We are a Gay male couple legally married. This is a small, women-only community that has been growing for the last 10 years in the desert of Arizona. Congratulations on being together for 40 years and for being so financially well-prepared for retirement. That may mean asking different questions at intake, such as whether they have a partner rather than if they are married even though they can get married, not all older couples have. The sporadic success of LGBT senior homes over the last decade has puzzled me. Elsewhere, some predominantly gay retirement complexes have waiting lists. The facility has been around for 3 years and is a safe place for LGBT seniors to live and retire.
